Somehow I live on a stack of money, so the price was very important when buying an all in one lens. The performance was as important as quality and well balanced against price. Each was weighted equally. When Nikon 18-200mm VR cost as much as D5000-camera placed on the issue. Let's face it, is a big part $ 700 for the 18-200mm Nikon. With the Nikon, Tamron and Sigma was the only option, but so many choices in these two manufacturers lines. This objective will never leave my camera! Walk around the car show I got many shots from standing in one place. The lens did very well. Soon I was in the habit of having lens focus twice and it was worth the extra thought. Later in the evening when I went through the photos, I could not believe that I took the pictures. Crisp and clear with different angles because of the flexibility of the zoom. The wide end was unusual in taking power shots. Wall to wall power and crystal clear.
